OUR MISSION

ABOUT US

Student-Made is working in partnership with Winthrop University and Rock Hill Economic Development Corporation (RHEDC) to engage, support and promote student-creators and small business owners of all kinds at Winthrop. Through this program, students will have the opportunity to bring their ideas to life, and test concepts through hands-on learning.

As one of the recipients of the 2025 Relentless Challenge and StimulateSC Grant by the South Carolina Department of Commerce, this partnership will not only allow students to engage more deeply with the small business resources provided by RHEDC, but it will also include the opening of an in-person retail location at the Hickory Post in Downtown Rock Hill, starting in April 2025!

WHAT WE DO

  • GROWING SUPPORT FOR STUDENT BUSINESSES

Student entrepreneurs are being promoted more effectively to customers within our campus community.

  • HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE FOR STUDENT MANAGERS

Our Student-Manager Team works in a real company environment to grow Student-Made on campus.

  • ACCESSIBLE FOR THE WHOLE CAMPUS COMMUNITY

Students, faculty, alumni and parents have the chance to support student ventures like never before.

"South Carolina is home to a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and innovators, which we are proud to continue investing in."

"This year's Relentless Challenge and StimulateSC grant recipients will further grow our state's innovation and business development ecosystems, and we look forward to the impact these 13 projects will have across South Carolina in the years ahead.”

— Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III.

Our Growing Network

Being part of the Student-Made network of campuses means our entrepreneurial students have access to supporters far beyond campus, and our manager team is collaborating with other student teams across the country.
